community effort to plant  the new trees ( HOAís lawn care co.)

  2. Regular weeding maintenance of planter beds throughout property (Wild Earth)

  8. Movies at Park schedule provided to lawn care co. to switch sprinklers off and on accordingly
  9. $10,000 moved from checking to money market in July so not reflected in the above numbers

In Process

  1. Waiting for additional feedback re: trees along south side of Yaupon 16th Street strip and half of 15th street strip
  2. 16th street drainage -  trying to get other bids on cleaning out (still) ñ (it has been weeded by lawn care co. All drainage areas cleaned of debris)

Board Feedback

  1. 2 pocket gardens at Yaupon and 15th Street ( South side of Yaupon, both E & W corner of 15th St)  - these beds looks terrible in contrast to last year.  I would like to get a bid from Wild Earth on re-planting these beds with more xericscape type plants. Yes/No
  2. Will be getting bids for snow removal within next 6 weeks ñ

                  a.  Do we want to get 3 bids or satisfied with Wards Snow Removal from

                       last season?

FYI

  1. Per email ñ the cost to do a mailing to all homeowners within the Master HOA runs about $255.00 per time.
  2. Irrigation emergency contact number changed to 720-519-3232 Green Spaces Garden Services.  This is for MASTER HOLIDAY Association irrigation only

******************************************************

Tracey should include funds for 3-4 postcard mailings a year to all residents within the Holiday Master HOA in the 2009 budget.

Tracey to check on watering levels (also with the Parks folks) for the area in the Norteast side from the movie reels to the playground.

Tracey to get bid on 2 pocket gardens on Yaupon and 15th . This was a requested for decision to the HOA Board (see item #1 under Board Feedback) and the members present voted yes to get the bid, unanimously.

Website*

Meryem has finished the website (http://www.holidayneighborhood.com ). Michael volunteered to be back up for updates to the site when Meryem is not available/out of town for some reason.

Meryem needs to add the contact info for the management companies for the different HOAs (available from Tracey) including Traceyís. Dave volunteered to help finding the contact info if not readily available.

Board also wanted to add a Holiday map to the website. Aaron thinks he can locate the old map that was there before and provide to Meryem.

Growing Gardens*

Growing Gardens is interested in starting a new pilot program to connect interested gardeners with under-used land that could become gardens. They're proposing that the HOA participate.

Board discussed the area adjacent to Hwy 36. This would require some initial setup by the HOA including providing water supply to that area. We are not ready for a vote on a proposal yet but Board decided to have Aaron continue with Dawn Dennison.

Holiday movies

On the movies, we should strive to get more people to know the website and sign-up on listserve for future movie and other HOA announcements. Ca. 140 people attended the first of three planned movies last week, Saturday. Next two are planned for August 2nd and August 23rd. Adds for the movies on the mailboxes didnít work well as they were taken down and the mailboxes seem to be actually owned by the US Postal Service. In the longer run we should look at obtaining a mailing list and send out postcards. ñ Nola will investigate.

Bike Path

The bike path/lane from 19th Street does not logically link up with the bike path in Holiday. How can we improve on that? GoBoulder prioritizes and helps steer funding for building bike paths in Boulder. ñ Dave will talk to Landon and give GoBoulder a call.

Opening the Kids Playground

Dave will ask the City if the opening date for the playground can be coordinated with a ribbon cutting ceremony that the HOA can then organize (preferably with the next movie on August 2nd ).

Next HOA Board Meeting is Wednesday September 3rd 2008 at 7 pm.
